New England Interstate Route 17

Route 17 was a east–west New England Interstate Highway known as the Westerly Route. It ran from the New York-Massachusetts state line (with the road continuing towards Hudson, New York via modern New York State Route 23 and 23B) through Great Barrington, Massachusetts and Hartford, Connecticut to Westerly, Rhode Island.

The modern designations of the old route are:
* Route 23 from the New York state line to Great Barrington, MA
* U.S. Route 7 from Great Barrington, MA to North Canaan, CT
* U.S. Route 44 from North Canaan, CT to Hartford, CT
* Route 2 from Hartford, CT to Stonington, CT
* U.S. Route 1 from Stonington, CT to Westerly, RI
